Today, “Long Covid” is a common term according to all medical professionals. This term was born in light of the direct impression of competent authorities who treated those affected by the coronavirus pandemic and those around them. In fact, even if a person or a family member did not contract the coronavirus, this does not mean that they are exempt from the symptoms of the damage, known today in the professional term “Long Covid”.
Therapists report that employees who had inherent and understandable power gap between them and their supervisors, have recently been affected, due to unplanned demands from supervisors, as well as demands to overwork and give it their all, without proper compensation, and sometimes with no compensation at all. In the vast majority of cases, it is indeed a disgraceful economic exploitation, but sometimes it is also an unhealthy stage, on which the supervisor stands, to come up with unexpected and discriminatory demands from the employee, sometimes even at non-routine hours, to simply harass them. Worse, in fact, the supervisor takes advantage of the understandable power gaps to satisfy personal whims, and even behaves in a bullying and unnecessary manner towards the employee, sometimes even while infringing on their privacy and the privacy of their family members.
In addition to all this, the coronavirus crisis has caused many to start thinking about their workplace, and their role in the organization and the meaning of life. As some people began to develop general thoughts following the pandemic, some of those longings by individuals, even if hidden today, simply crashed completely, when realizing that they did not want to be exposed to bullying in the workplace anymore, especially since there is evidence of physiological harm to the safety and health of those workers who are exposed to bullying in the workplace.
