Exercise has many benefits, both physically and mentally, but as a healthy process, there are sometimes exceptions that can lead to devastating injuries, and even real damage from various activities in the world of sports and stress in competitive sports. For example, children and youth, adults and athletes in the present, or even in the past, find themselves no longer involved in sports, and are under emotional pressure which increases their general level of anxiety, which sometimes results in a real collapse.
Therapists say it is known that there are athletes in the present, and even in the past who no longer engage in sports on a regular basis, who experience depression and anxiety, and sometimes they do not even know that they are experiencing such symptoms. At times, the pressures exerted on those involved in sports come from the most supportive and immediate environment, such as parents, friends, coaches, even funding factors, all of which create unnecessary emotional tensions.
In addition, socially we have witnessed in the last decade manifestations of severe violence arising from the world of sports, whether it is physical violence or verbal violence, whether on or off the courts. Sometimes the victim is a boy or a girl, a man or a woman who got into the wrong place at the wrong time. At times, on the other hand, these are people who have used violence in sports or racism towards others, they turned it into an inattentive way of life, and they no longer remember themselves prior to the process of emotional deterioration.
At “Na(r)gish” we invite every person, boy or girl, current or past athlete, and their families, fans and their families, to come and get the necessary tools to positively deal with these feelings and understandable difficulties, and by that, adapting a better and less stressful life.
